Training

ATIC offers a number of training courses and programs throughout the year for both the community, corporations and businesses.

ATIC has partnered with the British Association of Art Therapists to exclusively provide the following:

ARTiculate(5 CME hours awarded)

A two-day course designed to equip attendees with the knowledge and skills to better support children and young people with art and aiding students with building trust, confidentiality, safeguarding, information sharing, relationship building, emotional literacy and self-regulation and when to seek extra support all of which, with the exception of corporate wellness, are approved by Dubai Health Authority and carry CPD hours.

Safeguarding (7 CME hours awarded)

A two-day course exploring the historical context of child protection, clarifying our duties & responsibilities for safeguarding children. The course will help explore: signs and symptoms of abuse, verbal and non-verbal disclosure, when and how to make an onward referral and will equip you with a “protocol template” to better protect the children.

Child Development (2.5 CME hours awarded) 

A one-day course exploring early child development (Age 0-5 years) from psychological and attachment perspectives as well as delving into the importance and impact of art therapy in developing and reworking poorly negotiated developmental steps.

Foundation in Art Therapy (18 CME hours awarded)

A five days course which offers the participants an opportunity to learn about the essence of Art Therapy and its implementation with different client groups and varied populations.

Humanitarian (5.75 CME hours awarded) 

A one-day course offering an overview on how to sensitively use art in community-based settings. The course will cover different considerations and precautions that are relevant to working with refugees, migrants, and orphans.

Self and Symbols (4 CME hours awarded)

 A one-day course that will offer an overview of Jungian Art Therapy. C. G Jung proposed and developed the concepts of the extroverted and introverted personality, archetypes, and the collective unconscious. This course intends to present an understanding into how Jung viewed our psyche focusing particularly in working with symbols and archetypes.

Medical Art Therapy (15.5 CME hours awarded) 

This 5-day informative and experiential training will offer and comprehensive overview of the field of Medical Art Therapy. It is designed for healthcare professionals in medical settings.
