Art Psychotherapy

Art Psychotherapy uses art media for diagnostic and treatment purposes. Art is the primary mode of expression and communication, and can only be facilitated by a qualified Art Psychotherapist who holds a minimum of a MA specialized in Art Psychotherapy.

Art Psychotherapy is at the forefront of Western intervention for the last 70 + years and is a state registered profession and protected title in the UK. It is fully integrated throughout the UK and USA and is deemed a non-threatening method in managing significant clinical challenges as well as maintaining overall emotional wellbeing.

Art Psychotherapy integrates art into the therapeutic process, providing its participants with another mode of communication. You need not be a proficient artist, as the process of art making is as important, if not more important than the art piece.

Art Psychotherapy is process oriented.
