Assessment

Assessments at ATIC

All assessments will start with an initial consultation before it can be determined what specific assessment tools are best required and its duration. They will typically consist of diagnostic interviews, observation, and the use of standardized psychometric instruments. A feedback session and report will then be arranged to review the results.

Child Assessment

At ATIC we provide:

  • Diagnostic Assessment, not limited to:
    • Autism Spectrum Assessment from 18 months onwards
    • Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).
  • Behavioural Difficulties, Conduct Disorders and Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD).
  • Learning Difficulty Assessment:
    • Dyslexia Assessment

    • Developmental Delay
  • Full Psycho-Educational Assessment
    • Full Battery includes intelligence and achievement testing

Adult Assessment:

Assessments can provide further insight by measuring emotional, behavioural, intellectual, or learning concerns. Furthermore, we can provide support in areas such as, attention and memory, personality, relationship and communication styles, custody disagreements, and vocational suitability.

ATIC’s Process

Initial consultation is 50-minutes, which takes place at ATIC – we will review the psychological / behavioral history and any concerns you may have

Depending on the needs of the child, our therapist will advise which assessments are required.

Upon completion of assessment administration, the results and information will be compiled into a comprehensive report; the report findings shall be discussed in a face-to-face parent feedback session.

We will walk you through our recommendations on how to support the identified challenges and discuss options in moving forward.
